Located at Elephant and Castle, corner of Rodney Place and Ash Avenue, this is a residential development of two mansion blocks. The façade is a combination of complimentary, coloured, subtle, architectural precast panels finished with an acid etch, contrasting aluminium windows and matching glide on balconies.
The precast panels were designed from the outset by Loveld to allow the windows to be pre-installed at the precast factory by our trusted partners VGV Facades. The panels were also engineered by Loveld to take the loads from the glide on balconies in the panels themselves, thus removing the requirement for the balconies to be supported (through the precast) and back to the structure. This made waterproofing the project far simpler and removed the risk of future weathertightness problems.
Loveld took on all three packages and were a one stop shop for the precast, windows and balconies, which provided Lendlease with a single point of contact for the mansion block facades.
